“I just wanted to drop you a line to let
you know that I attended for my MRI scan on Friday and despite
feeling terribly anxious managed to go through with it. I
think the fact that I'd previously attending an MRI scan and couldn't
go through with being put into the tube didn't help! But
the staff I saw on Friday at The London Upright MRI Centre were
absolutely brilliant! They explained everything, they were kind,
calm and thoughtful, not making me feel rushed at all."
"I wanted to say thank you very
much for all your help with my MRI scan. I
was a particularly nervous patient who thought I would never manage
to get through the scan on a horizontal scanner. I nearly skipped
out of the clinic afterwards - the relief was so great at getting
it done".
"I just wanted to
say thank you very much for talking to me prior to my visit and
to ask you to pass on a big thank you to the staff who were on
duty on Friday, as I managed to go through with having the MRI
without distress."
"I would certainly recommend The London
Upright MRI Centre to anyone who needs to have an MRI and indeed
will do so to any of my friends and family who may need to have
this carried out at any stage in the future.”
“ As a claustrophobic patient who even needed valium to use
an “Open MRI Centre”, I can only applaud the Upright
MRI Centre. It is definitely the nicest MRI scan I have ever had
!! The quality of the care from the staff was superb. They really
put you at your ease”
“Can I just thank you for the excellent service you offered
me today. Having had two major claustrophobic panic attacks when
attempting to use other MRI scanners, it was a delight to be able
to sit comfortably and watch TV whilst in your upright scanner with
no claustrophobia at all .Should I ever need another scan you will
be my first point of call”.
Hi All,
I would just like to record my appreciation of your courtesy in fitting me in to your busy schedule on Christmas Eve.
Having read some of the testimonials on your website, I would like to add my own if I may.
"I am a chronic claustrophobic and there is no way I could entertain the prospect of a conventional MRI horizontal scan. It would be akin to being buried alive as far as I'm concerned so, after referral, I made arrangements to attend the London Upright MRI centre. Despite it being Christmas Eve, staff who had booked time off, agreed to come to work in order to facilitate my scan. The upright machine, which is the first or its kind in England, was neither claustrophobic nor noisy and I was able to watch a DVD of 'Top Gear' while the scan was taking place. In fact I wanted to remain in the machine on completion of the scan in order to catch the remainder of the video! My Consultant was highly impressed with the resultant images which were both crystal clear and very detailed despite the magnetic field being only 0.6 Tesla when compared to much more powerful horizontal scanners. This is definitely the machine of the future."
Kind regards,
Stuart Monkcom.
